Skulduggery Pleasant:

The author of this book is called Derek Landy. The book, Skulduggery Pleasant is a thriller adventure type book with constant suspense, characters and adventures. You are always wanting to turn the page but more tension builds. Join the adventure that  Skulduggery and a girl called Stephanie Edgley take you on.

Stephanie, a niece to an uncle who she really likes but does suspiciously does not know a lot about suddenly finds out that he’s dead. Out of all the family she inherits his mansion and fortune. However, she is not 18 yet so she therefore can’t have the house. Someone would like to keep it that way, then one day. Skulduggery a mysterious figure who is covered up head to toe reveals his true skeleton form when saving a teenage girl, ( Stephanie Edgley) from an evil henchmen in one of the many action scenes. She is taken into the world of magic but some do not think she is ready. She’s out for the adventure and wants to become a new courageous person that lives on the dangerous side

simple:

‘that ever lived in the tide of times’  this sentences is showing how important Caesar is to Anthony. The tide of times means streams of history and that ever lived means that Anthony is comparing him to the greatest part of history that ever lived.

Compound:

‘That I am meek and gentle with these butchers!’ Anthony is apologising for being respectful and shaking the hands of those who kill Caesar. This shows that it isn’t real respect that he is showing to the conspiracy which could possibly lead to vengance.

Complex:

‘Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war, that this foul dead shall smell above the earth with carrion men groaning for burial’  this proves that Anthony wants vengance and the conspiracy dead. However he is doing it  because he thinks that Caesar was going to.

Task 3:

Anthony is angry with the conspiracy but he is approaching his vengeance with cunningness not anger. ‘That I am meek and gentle with these butchers!’ This shows  that he is not actually loyal to the conspiracy but, in a way, a double agent.

7. I think that geothermal energy is most suitable for heating a house as the heat is clean and long lasting. Furthermore it can be found merely meters beneath the ground . For running a car I think kinetic energy would be best because it would allow the car to keep moving. I think that nuclear energy should be used to boil a kettle as if it has enough to power wind turbines then it should be able of boiling a kettle. Once again I think that kinetic energy would be useful to fly a plane especially due to the size of it and how high it flies.
